DISTRICT 93 CANDIDATE RHODESIA J. DOUGLAS EARNS IMPORTANT ENDORSEMENT FROM DEMOCRATIC COMMITTEE

Hailing a new day in the political landscape of New Orleans, on Friday, September 28 Louisiana State Representative District 93 Candidate Rhodesia J. Douglas earns an important endorsement by the Orleans Parish Democratic Executive Committee (OPDEC).

“This is a refreshing new day in the political landscape of Louisiana and is a testament of the communitywide support of Rhodesia Douglas’ bid to the seat,” states campaign Manager Gregory Douglas. “Our citizens are seeking new leaders to enter the arena with new thinking, new ideas and a fresher perspective.”

As a wife, mother of four children and business owner, Douglas has been engaged in the fight to improve the quality of life in the community on many fronts – health care, sanitation, public schools and small businesses.

“Running for this office is only a natural progression in my lifelong work to improve the quality of life not only for my family, but for all citizens,” adds Rhodesia J. Douglas.

Rhodesia appeared before the Executive Committee on Wednesday, September 26. However, the Committee's consideration of District 93 candidates for possible endorsement was delayed twice when Rhodesia Douglas' opponent, incumbent Karen Carter, failed to appear before the Committee for two consecutive days.
